MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

The Saturday Sangha began meeting in-person in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2000. Since 2020, the group has met online via Zoom (though Texarkana locals are encouraged to attend in-person at The Barn) and now includes 20–30 members from all over the United States and beyond. They aim to “deal with life on life’s terms” by developing self-regulation and mindfulness skills through the neuroscience-backed ancient practice of meditation. This FREE offering takes place (almost) every Saturday, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. CT. A typical meeting follows the following outline:

  • 20–25 minutes of teaching from Bart (also known as a dharma talk)
  • 20–25 minutes of meditation (either silent or guided)
  • 10–20 minutes for questions, comments, and discussion

To check out the Saturday Sangha, simply click here to join the Zoom meeting (password: 806810) a few minutes before 9 CT on Saturday. Texarkana locals are also invited to contact Bart or Lynnel to inquire about attending in-person at The Barn.

In addition to the Saturday Sangha offering, Bart also provides private spiritual direction via Zoom, by appointment. Contact him for more information.
